Early Career

From her theatrical training in college, Beryl Hawkins shows her radiant personality in her performances.

Her artistic career dates back to the 1970's when she first toured in the Carribbean as a nightclub singer/dancer with her sister, Sheryl Bridgewater, in her own group, Bridgewater Duplex. With this group, she also performed in clubs in New York before moving to Japan.

Other artistic accomplishments include appearances in movies as a jazz dancer in the Japanese movie, "Bad History", and other extra parts in movies.

Beryl Hawkins played a major role in two children's musical productions sponsored by World Family, touring for two years in Japan.
